The Ministry of Health (MoH) called on the public to consider participating in the upcoming blood donation drives, organised by the Blood Donation Centre.

The Blood Bank Unit is in need of all blood types, particularly type A, for the purpose of blood transfusion, especially among patients with Thalassemia and those undergoing surgery.

Donors are also reminded to scan their QR code using the BruHealth app and practise social distancing.

Co-organiser The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Brunei will hold the blood donation drive at its premises in The Mall, Gadong on September 21, from 9am to 2pm.

Meanwhile, RHB Bank will hold a similar event at its premises at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex on September 23, from 9am to 11.30am, while the PGGMB on September 26 at its premises in Kampong Sungai Akar between 9am and 11.30am.

The Indian Blood Donor Group is also set to support the campaign by holding a blood donation drive at the Health Promotion Centre of the MoH in Jalan Menteri Besar on September 27, from 8am to noon.
