One must be brave, responsible, sensitive, observant, imaginative and creative to become a writer, said Language and Literature Bureau’s (DBP) Literature and Magazine Division Head Dr Haji Mohd Ali bin Haji Radin.

He said this during the closing ceremony of the Young Writers Programme 2020 at Sarmayuda Hall of DBP yesterday.

“I hope the knowledge and experience can help participants produce quality literary work especially in poetry,” Dr Haji Mohd Ali said.

Guest of honour, DBP Acting Director Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab presented the certificates to over 30 participants and a souvenir to the mentor.

The two-day programme helped young writers, aged 15 to 35, to develop their talents.
