No new COVID-19 cases recorded in Brunei

Brunei Darussalam entered the fifth day without new COVID-19 cases yesterday, keeping the national tally at 145, including three active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre.

Some 171 samples have been taken for SARS-CoV-2 virus testing in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tests conducted since January to 53,528.

According to a Ministry of Health (MoH) statement, 447 individuals who arrived from abroad are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres.

Meanwhile, 5,272 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March.

In the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, the ministry revealed that there have been 112 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 27 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
