Jomar steals the show at 2020 National Skills Olympics

Jomar Arellano of NBT Toyota Gadong was crowned champion of the 2020 National Skills Olympics in the General Job Category, beating three other participants.

First runner-up place went to Angelo Pardinas (NBT Toyota Gadong), followed by Sherwin Bautista (NBT Toyota KB) and Md Najmi bin Joini (NBT Lexus Gadong).

NBT Managing Director Haji Ahmad Omar bin Haji Husin awarded the prizes at the Lexus Service Centre of NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd.

General Manager (After-Sales) Lauro De Guzman and Assistant General Manager (After-Sales) Haji Mansor bin Haji Mohd Yassin also attended.

The competition for general job technicians aimed to enhance the theoretical and practical skills on Toyota and Lexus Standard Diagnosis Repair, while promoting sportsmanship among participants, gauge their competency through theoretical and practical application, and allow them to showcase their skills.

Meanwhile, the objective for team members was to promote harmonious relations among all departments, support the Service Department’s yearly activity, and instil the company slogan ‘One Company, One Team, One Goal’.

The champion bagged BND500, a plaque and a certificate. The first runner-up won BND300 and a certificate, the second runner-up, BND200 and a certificate, and the third runner up was presented a certificate.
