International School Brunei (ISB) Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE) Centre hosted a graduation ceremony for the Level 3 Early Years Educator for the Work-based Learner cohort recently.
The ceremony at the school theatre was attended by the graduating learners, their families, assessors, trainers and mentors who helped the graduates on their learning journey.
The ISB CACHE Centre offers professional qualifications to those working in the care and education sectors – with a range of courses in special needs, early years and teaching and learning in schools.
The graduates are working in a variety of settings from daycare facilities to ISB itself as Learning Support Assistants.
Some graduates are continuing their studies with the ISB CACHE Centre.
Hazlina, one of the graduates studying for the Award Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities, said, “As a Learning Support assistant, I am working mostly with children who have a learning disability. The Learning Disabilities course has helped me by strengthening my knowledge and better understanding how to support the pupils. It has helped me gain more skills and strategies.’’
Another student, Ratna, said, “I chose the ISB CACHE Centre because it equipped me with the skills and knowledge I need to be an early years educator. The ISB CACHE Centre provides all the training that meets the professional standards.”
