The premises were fined BND100 each for the offence under Section 62A(2) of the Infectious Diseases Act, Chapter 204. A total of 17 business premises were inspected during the operation.
The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Brunei-Muara District Office through its Licensing and Enforcement Division. The joint operation targetted beauty and health establishments under the jurisdiction of the Brunei-Muara District Office in Sengkurong area.
The operation was to ensure that managers and staff of business premises always comply with MoH instructions to follow COVID-19 preventive measures.
Meanwhile, the Licensing and Enforcement Division also issued BND200 compound fines on two business premises for offences under the Minor Offences Act, Chapter 30 Section 12 (1). A BND500 compound fine was also issued to a restaurant.
