Personnel from the Temburong Police Station seized 96 bottles of liquor last Tuesday during a patrol in Kampong Bokok in the Temburong District.

Temburong Police District Acting Commanding Officer DSP Pengiran Saifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yussof said the patrol was conducted around the boat landing area of Kampong Meniup at 5.15pm.

Personnel stopped a Brunei-registered vehicle and found the bottles of liquor wrapped in black plastic bags in the rear seats and car boot. The police also recovered suspected drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.

A local man was brought to the Temburong Police Station along with the vehicle and the seized items.

The case was handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for investigation.
