Bleeding for a good cause

Some 95 pints of blood were collected during the 21st blood donation campaign at the Health Promotion Centre of the Ministry of Health (MoH), yesterday.

The blood donation campaign was organised by Indian Blood Donors in partnership with Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre.

Physiotherapist Mohamed Kassim bin Abdul Wahab said despite COVID-19, blood donation has to go on as blood stock shortage is a common problem at all times.

“We have annual blood donation campaigns to help spread the value of giving back to the society through donating blood,” he said.

“We appreciate the support of RIPAS Hospital Blood Donation Centre for the campaign and confirm our commitment to their efforts in ensuring the well-being of the public,” he added.
