Andy Lau to hold online party for fans to celebrate his 59th birthday

CNA – Andy Lau is turning 59 on Sunday and his fans will be able to celebrate with him in an online birthday party.

According to 8world.com, citing Taiwan media reports, the ‘Love Connected Birthday Party’ will be broadcast live on Lau’s fansite, Andy’s World, that evening.

The Hong Kong actor-singer reportedly started preparing for the event a few months ago, since it’s the first time it’s being held online because of the pandemic.

He’s expected to sing a few songs during the birthday party, and he will also communicate with fans.

Lau celebrated his birthday in Singapore last year during one of his concerts. When he was presented with a cake on stage, the singer said: “It’s my birthday today. Thank you for coming and spending time with me. I have a wish. I hope that all of you who have attended these four concerts will be good friends forever.”

He had been forced to cancel a fan event in August last year to commemorate his birthday because of the protests in Hong Kong.
