89 scholarship recipients join Jati Diri training programme

The Scholarship Section of the Ministry of Education (MoE) held the opening ceremony for the Jati Diri Berkat Programme for students of the Government Scholarship Overseas and Education Loan Assistance Scheme (SBPP) Academic Session 2020/21 at the Main Hall of the Ministry of Education building yesterday.

A total of 89 students attended the programme with 39 from the Government Scholarship Overseas, 47 from SBPP under the MoE, and three Government Scholarship Overseas students under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Guest of honour Head of Scholarship Section Julaihi bin Mohamad/Mohamat officiated.

Julaihi briefed the students on duties and responsibilities as government scholarship recipients, the regulations and procedures of government scholarship abroad as well as scholarship allowances and facilities for going abroad.

The four-day programme starting today, will feature briefings, visits, activities and knowledge sharing sessions including life skills, leadership, as well as the appreciation of the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB).

The MoE through the Scholarship Section will strive to ensure the learning and well-being of students and will be monitored from time to time.
