4,465 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Indonesia, highest one day record

JAKARTA (BERNAMA) – Indonesia has reported 4,465 new positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, its highest daily record since the first case was detected in the republic on March 2.

Based on the data published on the official Twitter site of the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management, the overall positive cases rose to 257,388 while 109,541 more patients are still being monitored for the virus.

From noon Tuesday to noon yesterday, another 140 deaths occurred bringing the cumulative total now to 9,977 people.

The province of Jakarta which came under the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulation for two weeks from September 14, is still having the highest overall positive cases in the republic with 65,687 cases with 1,133 new cases.
