Water treatment plant repairs affect Brunei-Muara, Tutong districts

The Public Works Department (JKR), Ministry of Development, announced that repairs were done to the Layong Water Treatment Plant, affecting water supplies to the Brunei-Muara and Tutong districts last night.

The repairs involved replacement to a 500-millimetre valve gasket which affected areas in Layong and Lamunin in the Tutong District.

In the Brunei-Muara District, it affected parts of Kampong Lugu, Katimahar, Kulapis, Tanjong Nangka, Sengkurong, Mulaut, Jerudong, Selayun, Sungai Tampoi, Tanjung Bunut Kanan, Jangsak, Mata-Mata, Gadong including Gadong commercial area, Menglait, Pengkalan Gadong, Burung Pingai, Brunei International Airport, around the Old Airport, Anggerek Desa, Sungai Akar, Sungai Tilong, Manggis, Salambigar, Sungai Hanching, Belimbing, Jalan Kebangsaan and Jalan Menteri Besar including the Diplomatic Enclave, the Legislative Council building and its surrounding areas.

Members of the public are advised to contact Darussalam line at 123 for request on water supplies from tankers or to address issues on water supplies in mitigating any water disruptions.
