Villagers, teachers attend CPR programme

Some 10 participants comprising village residents of Kampong Katok ‘B’ and teachers of Katok ‘B’ Secondary School attended a CPR programme at the school’s hall conducted by MAed Trainings and Consultancy, a SME providing first aid training yesterday.

Siti Ummi Az-Zahraa binti Haji M Suhaili delivered the talk.

The initiative was part of MAed Trainings and Consultancy’s safety awareness campaign for the public and was organised in collaboration with Malam Minggu Pusat Belia (MMPB) and the ALERT Team.

MAed Manager Captain (Rtd) Wardatul Zahrah binti Abdul Razak explained that providing first aid knowledge and training to the public will boost their confidence to provide assistance whenever needed.

The participants had the opportunity to use practical hands-on components and training materials during the training sessions.

The event saw the presentation of certificate of appreciation to Mohammad Haikal for cleaning Bukit Silat.

MAed Trainings and Consultancy Founder Ira Gafur highlighted the importance of having first aid skills, especially CPR as this can save lives. It is especially vital when it comes to responding to accidents at homes. She also commended that there is an increasing demand and interest for first aid programmes after the recent pandemic.

This programme was supported by the Acting Village Head of Katok ‘B’, Captain (Rtd) Pengiran Muhd Redzuan bin Pengiran Said and the community of Kampong Katok ‘B’.
