Sparks Co Flea Market returned for the seventh time yesterday at the Atrium Space of Bangunan Haji Munchit and Hajah Dayang Rapiah in Berakas following the announcement of further de-escalation move in the country.

Marking the first flea market since the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak, the event was carried out with full observation of the public health guidelines, including requiring all visitors to scan their BruHealth QR code, have their temperatures checked prior to entering the vicinity and encourage the use of hand sanitiser.

Vendors too were required to wear face masks, practise social distancing and provide hand sanitiser to customers.

The flea market is aimed at providing a platform for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to sell new and pre-owned items as well as food and beverages.

Among the highlights of yesterday’s event were a photo booth, featuring a replica of the English Premier League trophy, for Liverpool Football Club fans, and a children’s colouring booth.
