Eleven contestants demonstrated their make-up skills in a competition organised by the Youth Transformation Community Club (KKBT) of the Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), in collaboration with M-Image Sdn Bhd.

Local make-up artists and Youth Development Centre students battled it out in the contest themed ‘Nature Inspired Fantasy’.

The competition took place at Youth Centre in the capital, with a judging panel that included popular Malaysian make-up artist Zarina Omar, and Tee Eliya Mohamad from M-Image.

M-Image Sdn Bhd Director Hajah Khalilah Noor binti Khalid believes the local community has talents capable of producing good quality work.

“The field of beauty is vast and a lot can be done,” she said, adding this can be a “source of income for the family”.

M-Image hopes such events will encourage participants to be bold and determined. M-Image plans to set up a beauty school in the future.
