The Serikandi Group of Companies held a Korban ceremony at the residence of the Group’s Chairman and Managing Director Shaikh Haji Khalid bin Shaikh Haji Ahmed yesterday.

According to Shaikh Haji Khalid, the event served as an opportunity to mark Hari Raya Aidiladha while bringing together families who were unable to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri due to the COVID-19 outbreak, adding that “we are able to hold this ceremony because we made sure to abide by the guidelines from the Ministry of Health (MoH), such as no more than 100 attendees and social distancing at all times”.

The sacrificial animals were also slaughtered at a designated area with the distribution of the meat done at the residence.

All staff members handling the meat also wore face masks and gloves.

“The meat is handed out to the attendees as well as the less fortunate in the Belait District,” said Shaikh Haji Khalid.
