Scouts organises cleaning campaign at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque

The Brunei Darussalam Scout Association (PPNBD) organised a Kasih Pengakap project as part of its Welfare and Community Programme (PKK) at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday.

of honour.

The cleaning campaign, co-led by Rakob bin Nasir and Haji Ariffin bin Haji Sulaiman, was held in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Central Police Station, BSB Fire Station, Youth and Sports Department, Water Services Department and BSB Municipal Department.

Superintendent of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Zulkifli bin Haji Murat and officers of the mosque were also present.

The event began with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the recitation of Doa Selamat by Haji Abdul Nuin. It continued with a safety briefing and division of tasks.

The campaign was held in conjunction with the 62nd anniversary of the official opening of the mosque on September 26, 1958 by Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam.
