Scouts foster ties through Korban event

The Brunei Darussalam Scout Association (PPNBD) held a Korban ceremony at the Multipurpose Hall of PPNBD Headquarters Building recently.

Chief Commissioner of PPNBD Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali was the guest of honour.

This year’s event saw two cows being sacrificed for Hari Raya Aidiladha. The ceremony began with the recitation of Takbir Raya, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Acting Commissioner at the Headquarters’ Religious Division Muhamad Najib bin  Abdul Hamid.

The event continued with the distribution of Korban meat by the Chief Commissioner of PPNBD to scout members and underprivileged individuals.

Deputy chief commissioner and commissioner of Youth Programmes, district commissioners and committee members of the Korban ceremony were also present.

The religious gathering aimed to express gratitude and seek blessings from Allah the Almighty.

It was also held to foster ties among PPNBD members. The event was jointly organised by the Religious Division and the PPNBD Women’s Scout Division.
