The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) organised a Korban ceremony at the surau of its headquarters in Gadong yesterday to commemorate Hari Raya Aidiladha.

This year’s event, coordinated by its Islamic Religious Body, saw the sacrifice of six cows and two goats.

RBPF Commissioner Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, as the guest of honour, distributed the sacrificial meat to 44 participants.

Also in attendance were Deputy Commissioner of Police Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohd Jefri bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Hamid as well as senior officials and personnel at the RBPF.

The meat was also distributed to underprivileged families in Mukim Gadong.

The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a mass Takbir Raya, led by Imam of Surau Police Gadong APO Sergeant Mohd Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar.
