Flag carrier Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) received the award for Best Flag Carrier Financial Management Team Southeast Asia 2020 by CFI.co, a print journal and online resource reporting on business, economics and finance based in London, United Kingdom (UK) yesterday.
According to a joint statement from the airline and CFI.co, among the highlights of the report from the panel of judges were that they were impressed with RB’s active promotion on its Brunei hub, including its famous golden-domed mosques and biodiverse rainforest reserves, adding that the airline also offers regularly scheduled flights across Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and the UK. There are over 30 destinations in its network, including London, Dubai, Tokyo and Melbourne, while code-sharing and interline agreements add more destinations.
They also noted the airline’s four-star Skytrax and five-star APEX rating, which are consistent with the airline known for its service and warm Bruneian hospitality. “This boutique airline has become a well-known name in the tourism industry.”
The judges highlighted that RB also supports the productivity and growth goals of numerous companies across a broad range of industries.
“The CFI.co judging panel was impressed by the financial management skills that are underpinning this airline’s progress,” they added in the statement.
