No new COVID-19 cases for five consecutive days

Brunei Darussalam recorded no new COVID-19 cases for the fifth consecutive day yesterday keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 142, including one active case at the National Isolation Centre.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health (MoH), there are 565 individuals undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after travelling abroad, while 4,037 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March 2020.

In the past 24 hours, the MoH has taken 334 samples for the SARS-CoV-2 virus testing. A total of 44,737 SARS-CoV-2 virus tests have been conducted since January 2020.

According to healthinfo.gov.bn, there have been 111 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
