Hunan reports increasing foreign trade

CHANGSHA (XINHUA) – China’s Hunan Province saw its foreign trade rise 11.1 per cent year on year to more than CNY251 billion (about USD35.8 billion) between January and July this year, local authorities said yesterday.

Exports rose 3.8 per cent year on year to CNY164.5 billion while imports gained 28.5 per cent to CNY86.55 billion during the period, according to the customs of Changsha, the provincial capital.

The ASEAN became Hunan’s largest trade partner during the period, with imports and exports totalling CNY42.18 billion, up 36.4 per cent year on year.
