The Mosque Affairs Department announced that de-escalation for mosques, surau and religious halls remains at the Phase 4.

Apart from the usual safety practices when entering mosques, surau and religious halls such as temperature checks, hand sanitisation and BruHealth QR code scanning, congregants and the public are reminded to wear face masks when performing Friday prayers and encouraged to wear face masks when performing daily prayers.

Congregants are reminded to bring their prayer mats and to place the mats one metre apart to observe social distancing as well as avoid shaking hands.

Children above 12 years are allowed to join Friday prayers. Children and women are allowed to perform daily prayers at mosques, surau and religious halls.

Mosque Takmir activities, Al-Quran and Muqaddam classes are allowed as per guidelines issued previously.
