High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam Jeanette Stovel praised Brunei Darussalam for containing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

“Brunei Darussalam’s response to the COVID-19 has been very appropriate,” she said. “We have been very impressed by the low number of cases. As someone who lives in Brunei Darussalam, I am very pleased to see that we are able to live our life and I love hiking as well as going out in the community while adhering social distancing measures. I hope that we will continue this way for a long time.”

She made these comments at the presentation of personal protective equipment (PPE) at the Ministry of Health yesterday.

Canada’s contribution of 120,000 pieces of N95 Masks was received by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman.
