Popular recreational spots, such as beaches and parks, are seeing an increasing number of visitors amid the de-escalation phase of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

After months of following stay-at-home mandates, families are now taking advantage of the easing restrictions to enjoy quality time with their loved ones. This can especially be seen during weekends and public holidays, when families gather for outdoor activities.

Pengiran Haji Ibrahim bin PJP Pengiran Haji Ahmad was spending time with his family at Muara Beach when he told the Bulletin that it is a traditional to have family gatherings during holidays, especially outdoor activities such as ‘shell the eggs’, ‘pancing botol’ and ‘ballwalking’.

“Muara Beach has always been the family’s favourite spot for gathering,” he said. “This year, we decided to add ambuyat into the mix because it’s the most embraced traditional food at home.”
