The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA, the eighth model to join the line-up, rounds off the current compact car generation from Mercedes-Benz. The GLA is the entry-level model in the successful Mercedes-Benz SUV family and the sporty and lifestyle-oriented brother of the GLB.
Jati Transport unveiled the GLA at the Mercedes-Benz Autohaus yesterday, attracting visitors to take a closer look at its exterior and interior, and offered test drives for them to experience the performance, where members of the media were also invited to take the new GLA for a short drive.
The new GLA is over 10 centimetres higher than its predecessor, offers more headroom at the front and considerably more legroom in the rear, and is able to react in emergency situations when the driver does not as the Active Break Assist system with which it is fitted as standard is charged in many situations with applying autonomous braking to avoid a collision or to reduce its severity.
The GLA also offers very low wind resistance, and includes the intuitively operated MBUX infotainment system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) and smartphone integration as standard.
