Transacting Takaful protection has become instant, easier and economical with the launching of the Takaful Brunei Mobile application yesterday, providing customers with hassle-free service with no queueing and quick solutions with the ease of having product information at the fingertips.
The launching was officiated by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah in his capacity as Chairman of Board of Directors of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) and its subsidiaries; Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK).
The launch, held at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa followed by welcoming address by Takaful Brunei’s Managing Director Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya.
After launching the mobile app, the minister viewed a demonstration on it.
Locally developed, Takaful Brunei Mobile is a mobile application designed to create ease and comfort for registered users to participate, renew, make claim notifications and manage all their Takaful certificates, providing access to TBA and TBK product information, customer information updates and promotions.
Aimed at providing Takaful customer convenience and experience of the digital age, this digital initiative also contributes to Brunei Darussalam’s Digital Economy Masterplan which is aimed at supporting Brunei Vision 2035 and is in line with the aspirations of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam of making the country a Smart Nation. Available for download in both Apple and Google Play stores, registered and verified customers will have all the features available including viewing the product coverage specifications, getting instant quotations and ultimately making a purchase of their desired Takaful protection.
Customers can receive quotations instantly and complete their participation via online payment through the app and receive a digital copy of their Takaful certificates. Takaful Brunei Mobile showcases the ‘My Takaful’ feature, which assists registered users in managing all their TBA/TBK Takaful certificates.
Users are able to easily find out when their Takaful protection expires and financially plan ahead to renew and ensure there are no gaps in their Takaful protection as they have access to their active certificates, past certificates and pending claims status. Users will also get notified directly regarding Takaful Brunei’s updates and promotions through the app.
Takaful Brunei Mobile allows users the ability to make a claim where in the event of a claim incident, the user has immediate information and a guide on how to make the claim and also formally proceed the claim notification process through the mobile app itself.
The app services include motor renewals, home protection in the event of fire, flood and other perils with TBA’s comprehensive home package and domestic helper protection.
Users can also enquire on medical protection including coverages due to COVID-19, income protection with Aman Takaful and protection plus savings with Takaful Nur Savings, a product that allows customers to regularly save for the future and also get protection and receive a lump sum payout upon diagnosis of critical illnesses.
In conjunction with the official launch, the first 50 customers who purchase any two products through the Takaful Brunei Mobile will get a complimentary Samsung M21 smartphone.
