200 more complete mandatory self-isolation

Some 200 more individuals completed mandatory self-isolation at designated isolation centres in the country yesterday.

The batch of locals and foreigners arrived in Brunei on August 12 by air and land.

The individuals were immediately transported to allocated hotels that have been used as isolation centres since the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak in March.

Yesterday saw 49 checking out of Badi’ah Hotel, 45 from The Brunei Hotel, 28 from Traders Inn, 20 from Higher Hotel, 22 from StarLodge, 15 from The Empire Brunei, 12 from Mulia Hotel and the rest from Parkview Hotel.

Individuals undergoing self-isolation are required to do a swab test on the fifth day of arrival.

Upon checkout, officials from the Ministry of Health (MoH) are on hand to provide public health advice in accordance with the ministry’s guidelines.
