Twenty-seven orphans received a nod from the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) Excellent Student Incentive Award (AIPC-DANA) 2020 after obtaining excellent results in public examinations last year.
To ensure the practice of social distancing in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health (MoH), the award ceremony was split into two sessions, with the first held on Wednesday.
Yesterday’s event saw 18 students who excelled in the Primary School Assessment (PSR) receive their awards from Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees for DANA.
The students were: Nur Syarafana binti Azami, Nur Suryani binti Abdul Rahim, Adriana Batrisyia @ Dania Farwizah binti Abdullah Mohd Suhaimi, Nur Syazwatul Batrisyia binti Junaidi, Aimi Dania binti Hasme, Muhammad Hazim bin Adam, Nurhazimah binti Yahaya, Nur Syahirah Amani binti Muhammad Nur Ariffin, Elyanna Nawi, Hani Basyirah binti Tuah, Muhammad Wali bin Alidi, Zulaikha Zakirah binti Mustapa, Nur Khairina Arifah binti Haji Azreem, Nicky Kuan Ming Fui, Muhammad Haikal Zakwan bin Muhammad Zainul Ariffin, Muhammad Nur Ashraf bin Haji Talib, Mohammed Samsul Ali bin Abdullah @ Hakim and Mohammad Aqiel Yadiy bin Ishak.
Each high-achiever received a certificate, a computer laptop, a printer and a two-year learning pack in the form of BND400 in cash.
The AIPC-DANA award was introduced 13 years ago with the aim of encouraging students, especially orphans, to understand the importance of education in paving the path for a better future.
