imagine Sdn Bhd yesterday hosted the official launch of the Brunei Darussalam Telephone Directory 2020, which now comes with a QR code for a better customer experience.
The launching was held at the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) building in the capital, where imagine was represented by Chief Executive Officer Suzanna Suharju.
“We have embarked on this new era, where technological advancement has made our everyday activities easier through digital and mobile solutions,” said Suzanna.
“We believe that we can improve and expand our clients’ exposure through these new digital features.”
While noting that imagine sits on top of a legacy that spans 68 years as Jabatan Telekom Brunei Berhad (JTB) and later Telekom Brunei (TelBru), Suzanna said, “As a telecommunications company with a notable history of transformation and adaptation to new technology, we at imagine pride ourselves on understanding the need to explore different ICT avenues for the betterment of the communities that we serve.
“The digitisation of the Yellow Pages in partnership with our stakeholder, Tele Directories (B) Sdn Bhd, is a testament to our commitment for progress, as we continue to empower Bruneians through our products and services, while encouraging them to imagine what’s next whether at home, at work or on the move.”
With this year’s theme dedicated to the continuous rise of digitalisation worldwide, the Yellow Pages 2020 cover highlights Industrial Revolution 4.0, focussing specifically on the digital economy and beyond as the rise of new technology continues to become an increasingly enhanced mechanism in everyday life.
In keeping with the theme while revolutionising the Yellow Pages business approach, the online introduction of the Yellow Pages e-Book puts listed companies in a better position to connect with potential customers and clients.
Apart from the QR code feature, the e-book also debuts active hyperlinks that lead directly to business websites and email addresses from the listing, with zoom capabilities for better
The e-book comes in three colour-coded sections for easy reference, namely government departments in blue, residential listings in white and the commercial or classified section in yellow.
For two weeks from July 21, customers may return their older editions of the Brunei Darussalam Telephone Directory at the PGGMB building, in keeping with the recommendation of the imagine-Tele Directories (B) Sdn Bhd team to “reduce, reuse and recycle”.
The hard copy of the Yellow Pages is also available at all imagine branches nationwide, where customers can view the related QR codes on display at the counters.
