With mass gatherings capacity increases to a maximum of 100 people, wedding planners or vendors are allowed to organise bigger wedding events.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said wedding events can now be held at home or any venue that has a large space to accomodate the attendees. The minister gave an example of a venue with five halls in which each hall can accommodate 100 people and the wedding event should have its own QR code for contact tracing.

“Wedding planners have to be responsible to ensure the events run smoothly and provide temperature checks and QR code scanning, which are essential,” he said.

The minister also shared that the public is now allowed to rent event camps to hold a ceremony with a capacity of 100 people.
