Sultanate marks 71 days without COVID-19

Brunei Darussalam continued its long streak of recording no new COVID-19 cases for the 71st day yesterday, keeping the national tally at 141.

According to a Ministry of Health (MoH) statement, 452 individuals who have returned from abroad are currently serving their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres provided by the government. Meanwhile, 3,284 have completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March 2020.

A total of 381 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 35,245.

In its breakdown of COVID- 19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
