Sokon invests in new energy vehicles with Tesla co-founder

Founded in 1986, Sokon Group is a manufacturing enterprise with engines and new energy vehicles as its core businesses and complete vehicles as its major business line.

Sokon has forged a complete industrial chain covering independent R&D, manufacturing, sales, and services of automobiles, engines, and components.

There are several subsidiaries including DFSK, the joint venture between Sokon Group and Dongfeng Motor.

The headquarters of Sokon Group is located in Chongqing, China, with six research and development (R&D) centres in China, Japan, Germany and America.

There are eight modernised vehicle factories, two engine manufacturing bases and a spare parts manufacturing base in China, Indonesia and America.

For spare parts, the R&D and purchase agreement between DFSK and international suppliers were established to ensure the product quality can achieve first-class standards. Sokon products are sold to over 70 countries and over 10,000 employees create an output value of over RMB30 billion (USD4.2 billion).

In June 2016, Sokon Group marked a major milestone as it went public by offering its IPO.

Sokon Group has received many awards including Chinese Famous Brand, National Trustworthy Enterprise, National Excellent Employer, and National Demonstration Enterprise of IPR Protection.
