RBPF holds special prayers for benevolent ruler

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and its departments organised a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to mark His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 74th birthday celebration at the Surau of the RBPF Headquarters in Gadong yesterday.

Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali was the guest of honour.

Deputy Police Commissioner Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohd Jefri bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Hamid, department heads, senior officials and officers from the RBPF also attended.

The event began with a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Imam APO Sergeant 6472 Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran. It concluded with mass Asar prayer.

The ceremony aimed to show gratitude and love for the monarch, as well as to pray to Allah the Almighty for His Majesty’s longevity to rule the nation towards greater progress.
