RBAF launches Prihatin Centre, guidebook, action plan

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) officiated RBAF Prihatin Centre, RBAF Well-Being Guidebook and RBAF Welfare Strategy and Action Plan 2020 in a ceremony held at the former RBAF Counselling Centre building at Bolkiah Garrison yesterday.

The former RBAF Counselling Centre building was transformed into RBAF Prihatin Centre as one of the initiatives to centralise all inquiries related to the welfare of RBAF personnel and provide specialised services through Kesejahteraan Tentera application.

Meanwhile, the RBAF Well-Being Guidebook and RBAF Welfare Strategy and Action Plan 2020 were aimed at increasing the level of supervision and knowledge on welfare affairs and management procedures as well as to update welfare strategies and action plans toward improving the welfare quality of RBAF personnel and their family members.

Commander of the RBAF Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud was the guest of honour. RBAF officers and staff were also present.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by RBAF Religious Department’s Religious Operation Officer Captain Mohammad Ayza Azrine bin Ayahan.

It was followed by a plaque signing ceremony by the Commander of the RBAF to mark the official opening of RBAF Prihatin Centre.

The event also saw the launch of Kesejahteraan Tentera application and a demonstration by Kesejahteraan Tentera Cell on how daily complaints and inquiries are handled. There was also a visit to the Prihatin Corridor of the RBAF Prihatin Centre.

The guest of honour then officiated the launch of the RBAF Well-Being Guidebook and the RBAF Welfare Strategy and Action Plan 2020 which were distributed to service commanders and RBAF directors.
