Contributions continued to pour in from members of the public, private companies and communities to assist the government in containing the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
Peradian Brunei, a collaboration between Fera Health and Nursing Care Sdn Bhd, BIG BWN Project, Kunyit7Lodge_bn and Rasimoon Adinin, contributed BND120,000 worth of personal protective equipment (PPE), eight washing machines, medical appliances and toiletries to the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar received the donation from Lailatul Zubaidah binti Haji Mohd Hussain of Fera Health and Nursing Care, Noorhafizah binti Rashid of BIG BWN Project, Dayangku Kemariah binti Pengiran Duraman of Kunyit7Lodge_bn and Rasimoon Haji Adinin. What began as an initiative to produce scrubs for the frontliners during the initial stage of the outbreak morphed into a project to raise awareness of the COVID-19 health crisis through contacts and social media networks.
Peradian Brunei has since produced 3,154 protective suits with support from local tailors and textile companies.
Corporations and private donors also came forward to make contribution including PPE, medical necessities and food.
Meanwhile, Daelim Industrial Co Ltd donated COVID-19 test kits worth USD15,763.52 to the MoH as part of its corporate social responsibility amid the health crisis.
The minister received the contribution from Daelim Industrial Chief Executive Officer Paul Bae in the presence of Republic of Korea Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Yoon Hyun-bong.
