In support of Brunei Gastronomy Week, My Favoureat Kopitiam is offering customers the ‘Ambuyat Experience’ in a unique and special way.

Unlike how Ambuyat is normally served, My Favoureat Kopitiam offers an audio-visual experience that comes in individual portions with full table service that is a unique experience which has never been attempted in Brunei Darussalam.

My Favoureat Kopitiam reinterpreted this popular traditional Brunei fare with the aim of stoking the local passion for Ambuyat.

Local media were invited to MFK to experience the unique culinary set.

My Favoureat Kopitiam Restaurant Supervisor Hafizah binti Duraman said, “We understand that many diners would appreciate enjoying a quality Ambuyat lunch or dinner in a nice, cosy and pleasant environment complete with soothing music and table service. This motivated My Favoureat Kopitiam to embark on this challenging project: How to transform this humble traditional Brunei fare into a 21st Century gastronomic culinary experience?”

She said, “By creating the ‘Ambuyat Experience’, My Favoureat Kopitiam’s chefs and service staff hope the careful blending of unique sights, sounds, tastes and aromas orchestrated for the meal will delight adventurous foodies seeking a unique experience. This is Ambuyat pushed to the limits of the proverbial perimetres.

“It has to be experienced to be understood. Diners’ names will be projected onto the table cloth, and a video demonstrating how Ambulung becomes Ambuyat is played on the table-top. This is truly Ambuyat at another level,” she said.

Cusomters need to reserve 48 hours in advance. The public can follow My Favoureat Kopitiam’s Instagram @myfavoureatkopitiam for updates.
