KFC Brunei, through its ‘Kita Fight COVID-19’ campaign that ran from May 5-31, raised BND11,044.56 for the COVID-19 Relief Fund to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its fight against the resurgence of coronavirus.
KFC Brunei General Manager Ooi Tiat Huay presented the donation to Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Management) at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Moshin yesterday morning.
The campaign was part of the fast food restaurant’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) to encourage the public to join in on the fund-raising amid the pandemic.
“Kita Fight COVID-19 campaign was launched as a way for us Bruneians to stand united,” Ooi said. “We thank all Bruneians who joined us on the cause to make a difference.”
He also hoped that funds raised would “benefit our brave frontliners, who have made many sacrifices in the battle against COVID-19”.
To further support the MoH, KFC Brunei is stringent in its health, safety and hygiene procedures by introducing ‘contactless delivery’ where customers’ orders are delivered in a contact-free manner.
