Jab Gym and Community for Brunei are collaborating in a fund raising for Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The fund raising collaboration will be made through the sales of premium juices made by the Jab Juice Bar and premium granola energy Bars made by Pusat Ehsan’s Vocational Class 2020. The public can purchase these items from the Community for Brunei website through a secure MasterCard payment gateway using any debit or credit card, or at Jab Gym.

The Jab Juice campaign will run from July 17 to August 28. The gym’s juice bar offers refreshing cold-pressed juices to protein-packed smoothies for muscle recovery, tailored to have the right balance of flavour and nutrition. Clients can also customise their drinks.

Jab Gym aims to be environmentally friendly and their kitchen is free of single-use plastics. They will be using glass bottles for their juices for this campaign, which can be returned to the gym to be recycled.

Proceeds from the campaign will be donated towards Pusat Ehsan to help them continue their programmes which provide training, assistance and care for individuals with special needs.

This collaboration will be an impactful initiative for Brunei Darussalam’s special needs community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a positive community strengthening initiative overall.

The public is encouraged to support the special needs community.

Community for Brunei is a CSR initiative run in partnership with the Collective Art Events, Alicia Newn and Think Axis under Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) that highlights social and charitable causes important to the Sultanate. It features a virtual marketplace designed to help small businesses.

The platform leverages technology to bring the community together, providing an online ecosystem with an integrated digital payment gateway as part of BIBD’s efforts to encourage a digitalised society powered by a cashless economy.

Jab Gym is the first boutique boxing gym in Brunei to combine workout, lifestyle and luxury. Their state of the art fitness facility offers the highest level of boxing training, top of the line gym equipment, and group classes that range from yoga and boxercise to TRX and high-intensity circuit training.

Pusat Ehsan is a non-government, charity organisation committed to providing quality education, rehabilitation and training programmes for individuals with special needs. They have over 260 individuals with special abilities under their charge.

They recognise the need of these individuals to be independent members of society and the importance of providing appropriate activities to achieve these.
