Indian man pleads not guilty to molesting minor

A 32-year-old Indian man accused of forcing a 10-year-old local boy to perform a sexual act on him has pleaded not guilty to the charge yesterday.

Mohamad Ibrurahim’s lawyers Leney Andrew Albert and Wafi Sallehuddin of Messrs Ahmad Isa and Partners also applied for their client to be released on bail pending trial.

Magistrate Hajah Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid will be handing down her ruling on the application tomorrow.

The defendant faces a charge of outraging the modesty of the victim at 11am on June 21 in Kampong Rimba.

DPP Raihan Nabilah Ahmad Ghazali represented the Public Prosecutor.
