‘Goals for Education’ donation campaign kicks off

Dynamik Technologies and Progresif launched the ‘Goals for Education – Your Goals Matter for their Goals’ donation drive campaign last Wednesday.

The campaign is part of the companies’ ‘whole of nation approach’ aimed to support online learning initiatives and students in need of information and communication technology (ICT) devices nationwide.

The campaign also seeks to ensure students in Brunei Darussalam have access to technology to carry out their online learning at home.

Online learning was implemented for all educational institutions in the nation by the Ministry of Education in early April in view of the COVID-19 outbreak in Brunei Darussalam.

The campaign consists of two different categories; Category 1 (555 Challenge) is open for all members of the public. Participants can record a video of them scoring five goals as creative as they can, donate BND5 for the cause via Progresif Pay or BIBD Online, and upload the video clip on their Instagram account and nominate five other people to do the same.

Category 2 (1Co Challenge) is open by nomination among organisations or companies to pledge and donate BND250 or more for the cause. The company or organisation will upload their pledge onto their social media and nominate one other company to follow the same steps.

Proceeds from the donation drive will go into purchasing laptops, tablets, and computers.

“At Dynamik Technologies, we believe the importance of digital access for all and youth be at our forefront in addressing a more equitable outcome for our nation’s future. We hope through ‘Goals for Education’ all of us as a community can help provide digital tools for students doing remote learning. Working in different places and even different borders for a common objective is the new norm and COVID-19 has accelerated the realisation of many successful outcomes. Let us continue to pave a path of a more ‘Dynamik’ and ‘Progresif’ youth,” said CEO of Dynamik Technologies Haslina binti Haji Mohd Taib.

“As a company whose mission is to maximise the possibilities of ICT in order to enable people to enjoy the benefits of living a connected life, we are better placed than most to know how important computer access is to our youth. It is for this reason that Progresif’s CSR policy has always invested in education and digital entrepreneurship, and will continue to support initiatives like this one, that bring us closer to achieve Vision 2035,” said CEO of Progresif Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Mohd Jaafar.
