Crime prevention meetings held with community

The Neighbourhood Watch (PK) programme under the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) continues to cultivate strong bonds with local communities in protecting the security and harmony of the country.

Several police stations throughout the country recently carried out community approach programmes and crime prevention patrols.

The Neighbourhood Watch Unit of the Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Central Police Station recently organised a meeting with village heads of Mukim Kilanas led by Commanding Officer ASP Dayangku Siti Munirah binti Pengiran Haji Damit. Acting Penghulu of Mukim Kilanas, Village Head of Kampong Bengkurong and Acting Village Head of Kampong Burong Lepas Haji Talib bin Haji Bakar also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile in Muara, the Neighbourhood Watch Unit of Muara Police Station had a similar meeting with the Acting Village Head of RPN/STKRJ Kampong Tanah Jambu Haji Abdul Wahab bin Haji Kassim. The meeting was led by Acting Commanding Officer Senior Inspector Saidin bin Mohamad Salleh.

In Jerudong, the Neighbourhood Watch Unit of Sengkurong Police Station, led by Commanding Officer Inspector Pengiran Noorhasni bin Pengiran Haji Omar, organised a meeting with Acting Village Head of Kampong Jerudong ‘A’ Haji Khairul Azmi bin Haji Lakat/Ahmad.

The meetings shed light on crime statistics in the areas from January to June as well as shared feedback and information and plans for future PK activities, the RBPF said.
