After a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Galleria YMRM’s Crazy Sale event made its come back yesterday, this time paying tribute to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 74th birthday celebration.

The five-day sale event at all Galleria YMRM branches offered discounts up to 74 per cent for 74 different items including the latest textiles, laces and home deco items. The BND0.50 cents per metre fabric deal is also offered during the sale.

As Brunei implements the gradual easing of restrictions following over two-month streak of no new COVID-19 cases, Galleria YMRM is taking precautionary measures based on the advice of the Ministry of Health (MoH) by limiting the number of people in its stores at one time, conducting temperature checks and requiring BruHealth QR code scan at its premises.

According to Managing Director of YMRM Enterprise Hitesh R Bhawnani, the annual Crazy Sale event, which is already a trademark event for their brand, is genuinely giving flat discounts on several items, allowing Bruneians to get more value for their money, inculcate a ‘buy in Brunei’ culture and to give back to the community. “We chose to give a 74 per cent discount this year to mark His Majesty’s 74th birthday and to celebrate His Majesty’s leadership that has enabled Bruneians and residents here to live harmoniously. It is also one of our ways to give back to the community,” Hitesh added.

The sale event that started 10am yesterday saw people queuing to not miss the great deals on various items. The sale event will continue until Sunday.
