COVID-19 press conference to be held on ad hoc basis

The Ministry of Health (MoH) informed the public that starting today, the daily COVID-19 press conference on the latest updates of the COVID-19 situation in Brunei will be held on an ad hoc basis, which is when important information needs to be shared immediately to the public.

This was announced by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference yesterday at the Al-‘Afiah Hall of the MoH.

The Minister added that the latest information will be published via daily press releases and more information can also be obtained from the MoH website www.moh.gov.bn or through the healthinfo.gov.bn application.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Health and other relevant ministries, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude and thanks to the media and the public for their continued cooperation and commitment in helping the government control the outbreak of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam, in particular to ensure that the public has the correct, authentic and up-to-date information,” said the minister.

The minister added that the MoH would like to remind the public to continue to exercise their social responsibility in controlling the spread of COVID-19 outbreak.

“Inshallah with all this effort and with the will of Allah the Almighty, our country will continue to be able to control the spread of COVID 19,” added the minister.
