In a bid to revive the local contemporary art scene, Creative Space Gallery in Sengkurong will showcase a week-long exhibition themed Contoh.

It aims to explore existing or possible impressions through installation artwork from three talented local artists – Yasmin Jaidin, Ian Chan and Faiq Airudin, and focusses on Brunei’s past and future manufacturing.

Yasmin work has been exhibited internationally at The National Art Center in Tokyo, UP Vargas Museum in Manila, the Manila Metropolitan Museum, and the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan.

Music composer Ian Chan repertoire includes music and sound design for video adverts, art exhibits and a docuseries.

Contoh will be showcased today until July 27 at first floor, block 6B of the Sengkurong Shopping Complex.

Limited slots are available and the public is advised to book early via Instagram @creative.space.brunei.

The gallery is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
