Brunei continues its streak of zero new COVID-19 cases

Brunei Darussalam yesterday continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases, keeping its national tally of confirmed cases firmly at 141.

This was shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its daily press statement on the developments of the pandemic in the country.

According to the statement, a total of 454 individuals who arrived in the country from abroad are currently undergoing mandatory isolation at the monitoring centres provided by the government.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,372 individuals have completed the mandatory isolation since March.

The MoH also revealed that a total of 245 samples have been taken and tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January to 36,038.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, 110 of them were in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
