To mark its 34th anniversary, the Brunei Library Association (BLA) is launching the BLA Campus and the first of its BLA webinar series of forums via a virtual platform. This is to share knowledge with the library community and library and information science students.

The first webinar series will be broadcast live on July 21 from 10am-11am and e-mail registration is required via [email protected]

Four panellists will discuss the Emerging Leaders Programme 6.

The panellists are Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Librarian Haji Abdul Hafidz bin Haji Ali Hassan who participated in the 2019 SEA Librarians Seminar in Beijing; Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Librarians Taiyibah Nurul Huda binti Haji Mohd Ali and Amalina binti Haji Ahmad who participated in IFLA WLIC 2018 in Kuala Lumpur; and Library Officer of the AGC Library Amalina binti Haji Ramli, who participated in the Library Study visit to Kuching in 2020.

The live broadcast will be moderated by UTB Library Senior Librarian Hajah Pusparaini binti Haji Thani.

The introduction is in line with the professional and continuing development of librarians, and in adapting to the COVID-19 digital world.

The BLA Campus is the centre of knowledge and learning for librarians to improve and reach out to librarians both nationally and regionally.

The BLA webinar series will be BLA’s regular feature as more exciting topics are added to the programme.

The virtual forum is supported by Politeknik Brunei and UTB. Further information can be viewed on BLA’s Facebook page.
