The Magistrate’s Court adjourned a case involving a 58-year-old local man facing a charge of assaulting a dentist to July 16 yesterday.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Fitri binti Kiprawi’s allegation against Christopher Cheok states that he assaulted a government dental officer during an altercation at the National Dental Centre on April 6 by pointing his finger to the victim’s face, while uttering obscenities.

Defence counsel Robin Cheok yesterday discharged himself from representing the defendant, while defence counsel Rozaiman Abdul Rahman took over.

Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid presided over the case.
