Happy Motoring Co Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Honda vehicles in Brunei Darussalam, announced a precautionary recall campaign for 110 Honda vehicles that require fuel pump replacement. The move is in line with the Honda global fuel pump recall.
According to a statement from Happy Motoring Co SdnBhd, the affected Honda models are 60 units of Honda Civic (2018 model), 40 units of Honda HR-V (2018 model) and 10 units of Honda City (2019 model).
The product recall is necessary as a preventive measure to address the possibility of loss of engine power or vehicle stalling.
Happy Motoring Co SdnBhd sent notification letters of the recall campaign details to affected customers at their last known address.
Honda car owners who have not received notification letters as well as those who are uncertain whether they are affected by the recall are requested to contact the company’s service reception.
As of today, there is no incidence of accidents or injuries caused by this issue reported in Brunei Darusalam.
Happy Motoring reiterated that all current Honda models sold in Brunei Darussalam are not affected by this campaign.
