524 join UNISSA’s Ta’aruf Week

Some 524 new students began their four-day Ta’aruf Week (orientation week) at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) for the 2020/2021 academic session yesterday. The Ta’aruf Week was organised by the Student Affairs Section and Academic Management Office in collaboration with UNISSA’s Student Representative Council (MPP).

Of the total figure, 405 students are joining undergraduate and diploma programmes while 119 students pursuing Postgraduate degrees.

Rector of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal in an address congratulated the
new intakes.

This year saw an increase in international students to 53 students. The Ta’aruf week ends on July 30. Several activities will be carried out online. Activities during e Ta’aruf Week include academic and administration briefings, community services and mini conferences.
